Institutional Review Board
Before submitting a proposal to the IRB, the researchers must complete the Collaborative Institutional Training Institute (CITI) online certification, sponsored by the University of Miami. The CITI certification focuses behavioral/social research. Be sure to select the CITI basic course.
After you have completed your certification, you should download a copy of your certification,
retain a copy for your records, and submit a copy with your Submission Form to the
SEU IRB.
The CITI online certification contain several modules. You must complete a module's
quiz at one session, but you do not need to take all of the quizzes at one time.
Your scores on each quiz are stored in your account and after you have completed all
of the quizzes, you can obtain your score. Do not be concerned if you get a message
after the initial quizzes that you have failed. You need to complete all of the quizzes
in order to receive a passing grade and become certified.
You may take each quiz as many times as you like to improve your score.
