Undergraduate
This FREE, residential program will strengthen your academic skills and prepare you
for college. Taking place prior to the start of the Fall semester, the Summer Scholars
Program is an academic enrichment opportunity that has been proven to increase student
success and engagement.
Through Summer Scholars you will:
- Earn up to 10 free credits before the year officially begins
- Become part of a supportive community before other first year students even start classes
- Develop relationships with faculty and staff who will be vital to your success over the next four years
- Take part in fun activities with peer leaders and other Saint Elizabeth community members
Key Dates
- Orientation – June 23, 2024
- Classes – Monday through Friday, June 24-July 26, 2024
Courses Included
English/Writing class (ENG111), Presentation Skills Class, (COMM223), Math (MATH105)
plus a critical thinking class for 2.0 credits.
In order to receive credit for courses, students must attend all classes and pass
with a grade of "C" or better.
Cost
The Global Scholars Program is paid for by the University.
Support
Tutoring and mentoring are provided and required to support each student. Workshops include time management, how to be a better student, learning strategies, and guest speakers on various topics. Peer Mentors are current students who have been in various Summer Programs, so they have an understanding of the challenges of a first-year college student.
