2023 Black History Month Awards

 

For Black History Month, the Police Studies Institute held it's Excellence in Policing Awards Ceremony to highlight the accomplishments of African American law enforcement officials from throughout the nation. New Jersey State Attorney General Matthew Platkin joined a number of law enforcement dignitaries and University President Dr. Gary Crosby and Institute Director & Professor William Schievella. Students welcomed guests and introduced honorees to the crowd.

About the PSI

The Institute provides advanced leadership education for law enforcement and public safety practitioners and serves as a forum for public policy discussions and analysis for various community groups.

The Institute also fosters the creation of a diverse professional work for New Jersey's law enforcement organizations and fosters the development of community relations as well as training for the public safety community.
