Our Mission

The Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education at Saint Elizabeth University exists to bear witness to history, to educate with integrity, and to cultivate dialogue rooted in justice, empathy, and faith.

Grounded in the teachings of Vatican II and committed to the highest academic standards, the Center fosters remembrance of the Holocaust and other genocides. Through public programming, educational outreach, and interfaith dialogue, we seek to transform memory into moral action.

We provide resources, events, and curriculum support for SEU students and educators throughout New Jersey, supporting compliance with the state’s Holocaust and genocide education mandate.

Message from SEU President Gary B. Crosby

International Holocaust Remembrance Day

“Eighty years after the Holocaust began, we commemorate the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and honor the millions who perished. The lessons of this history are urgent and clear: we must lead lives rooted in service, justice, and the refusal to remain silent in the face of hate.”
